At Bylaw, we specialize in automated records processing, leveraging AI techniques to classify and extract data from different types of documents such as bank loans, rental records, real estate leases, receivables, account balances, and much more. Our expertise also extends to the use of generative AI techniques to exploit databases and generate automatic reports.
As a Machine Learning Engineering intern at Bylaw, you will be responsible for working on document data extraction, helping the Data Science team to process different types of documents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your skills to develop innovative solutions for document analysis and learn how to apply them to real business use-cases.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to design and implement algorithms and models for automatic document processing.
- Participate in the collection and post-processing of training and test data, ensuring their quality and reliability.
- Fine-tune machine learning models using state-of-the-art methods.
- Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our algorithms.
- Participate in code reviews and documentation sessions to guarantee the quality of implemented solutions.
Your skills :
We're looking for candidates with diverse skills to help us build excellent technology solutions for our customers. The following qualifications are essential for the position of Machine Learning Engineering Intern:
- Programming skills in Python.
- Understanding of basic machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Experience with data analysis and machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Transformers, Pandas).
- First experience in data analysis and visualization.
- Comfortable working as part of a team, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in automatic document processing (document, classification, key information extraction) or information extraction (document parsing, Question Answering, etc.) will be a plus.
- Experience of working in an AWS environment will be a plus.
- Fluency in English and French.
